Perched on a ridge line overlooking Whitefish Lake, Ridge House reveals itself gradually, creating a memorable arrival as the elevated main living level rises above the surrounding landscape. The home is organized as a long, linear form that follows the contours of the hillside, allowing every primary space to capture expansive views across the lake and valley beyond.
A defining architectural gesture is the standing seam metal roof, which lifts toward the southern end of the home. This subtle "flip" welcomes abundant natural light into the great room while maintaining a lower, more intimate scale over the bedroom wing, creating a balance between openness and retreat.
Entering the home, visitors are greeted by a bold custom stair that ascends into the heart of the residence—a spacious kitchen, dining, and living area designed for gathering and framed by panoramic views. Floor-to-ceiling glazing blurs the boundary between indoors and out, while generous outdoor decks extend the living spaces into the surrounding landscape.
Each bedroom is designed as a private suite, complete with its own bathroom and unobstructed views of Whitefish Lake. Embedded into the ridge, the home creates the feeling of inhabiting the mountainside itself, offering a quiet connection to the terrain while maximizing privacy, light, and the extraordinary setting.
